<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">To fix a Wi-Fi (or wireless) problem, we'll consider tips to optimize wireless signals. Once that's done, we'll ensure that Wi-Fi is enabled and that, if there's a physical switch, it is in the 'on' position. Next, we'll check if there's a problem between the laptop and the router. If that doesn't fix the problem, we'll consider the software (or driver) on the computer. If the driver doesn't solve the problem, we'll move on to checking the system of the laptop. As a last resort, we'll perform a system recovery if needed.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><b>Consider tips to optimize wireless signal:</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The first thing you should do is consider these tips to optimize wireless signal.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Walls, floor, and other large, solid objects can cause signal degradation if they're between your computer and your router. Try to minimize the number of walls, floors, and pieces of furniture between the two devices.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">A router's signal stability and strength can degrade as it gets older. If it's been a long time since you've installed your router, consider replacing it.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Routers can operate on different channels. If there are a lot of devices on one channel, there can be interference that causes the signal to be weaker. Conside changing the channel on which the router is broadcasting to one with less usage. This is usually for advanced users. To find out how to do this on your router, consult your router's owner's manual, contact the router's manufacturer, or contact your Internet service provider if your ISP provided your router.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><b>Enable Wi-Fi (or wireless), also called turning on the Wi-Fi switch:</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">To begin, we'll start with the simplest and quickest solution - ensuring that it's enabled.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Some older laptops have a physical switch or toggle on the side or front that must be enabled to use Wi-Fi. Look for this on your laptop. If you see one, make sure it's toggled to the "on" position. If you don't have a physical switch, continue to the next step.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Instead of a physical toggle, older laptops might have a touch-sensitive button on a strip above the keyboard that shows a picture of an antenna. If you have this, you'll want to ensure it's on by looking for the lit up picture. If it isn't lit, touch it to enable Wi-Fi. Not every laptop will have this strip.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Wi-Fi must be enabled through software as well. Press the button with a picture of an antenna in the top of keys to toggle the Wi-Fi. You may also need to hold FN and press the button. If the "F" number is White and the image is Gray, you will press the Fn plus the button with the wireless icon. Example is Fn+F8. If the "F" number is Gray and the image is White, you will NOT NEED to press the Fn plus the button with the wireless icon. Example is F12.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">If that doesn't work, reinstalling Toshiba Value Added Package (TVAP) could help. Click here to learn how to find downloads.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">If turning on the wireless doesn't fix the problem, move on to the next section.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><b>Check the Router:</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Next we'll check the router to ensure the computer can connect correctly. If you don't have access to the router (for example, you might be using a public <a href="http://itprofessionalsguide.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Wi-Fi</a> network), you can skip this section.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Locate your physical Wi-Fi router.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Unplug the router's power cord.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Wait 5 minutes.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Reconnect the router's power cord.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Wait 5 minutes for the router to establish its connection to the Internet.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Test your Wi-Fi again.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">If you still can't connect, try removing any security on the Wi-Fi network. If this is your home network but you don't know how to do this, try contacting your Internet service provider.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">If this fixes it, try using a different type of security if you wish to use a secured network.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Previously we ensured the Wi-Fi was enabled. In this section, we checked the router. If the computer still won't connect, we'll continue to check the software on the computer.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><b>Computer Software (Driver):</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">In this section, we will see if the software on the computer that controls the Wi-Fi, called the Wi-Fi driver, might have a problem.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">System Restore:</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Try using System Restore to restore your computer to an earlier point in time when you could connect to Wi-Fi networks.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">To learn about System Restore in Windows 8, click here.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Once the System Restore is completed, test the Wi-Fi again. If it still doesn't work, continue to the next step.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><b>Check System Information:</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">We'll now check which version of Windows the computer is using.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Hold the Windows key and press the 'x' key to open the administrative menu in the lower-left. Select "System."</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Next to "System type," note whether it says 64-bit or 32-bit.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">We'll now check which Wi-Fi card your system contains.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Hold the Windows key and press the 'x' key again to open the administrative menu in the lower-left. Select "Device Manager."</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Expand "Network adapters."</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Make note of the one with "Wireless" in the name. It will likely contain either the word "Intel," "Realtek," "Broadcom," or "Atheros." Note which one it is. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b><a href="http://itprofessionalsguide.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Download</a> New Driver:</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Now, download the latest driver for that Wi-Fi card from the support site.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Click here to learn how to find downloads on the support site.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Remember to select the version corresponding to the information you previously obtained from "System Information" and that contains the name of the network adapter obtained from "Device Manager."</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Install the downloaded driver.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">If this doesn't fix the Wi-Fi, we can assume it isn't a software (or driver) problem. Because we already checked that Wi-Fi is turned on and the <a href="http://itprofessionalsguide.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">router</a> is okay, we'll move on to checking the system.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>System Settings:</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">In this section, we're going to perform a power cycle first to discharge any power in the computer. Don't worry; this will not cause you to lose any data on the computer. Then we'll reset the BIOS, or setup settings. This is are basic settings that contribute to how the computer functions. Both of these tasks are very easy to do.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Turn off the Computer:</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Remove all accessories such as USB sticks, DVDs, or SD cards</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Disconnect all cables such as USB cables, printers, external monitors, and even power.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">If the battery is removeable, remove the battery.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Hold down the power button for 30 seconds.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Reattach the battery and AC power.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Start the computer.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Enter the system BIOS (UEFI). </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Press the key listed in the BIOS to reset the <a href="http://itprofessionalsguide.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">BIOS</a> to default settings. This is usually F9.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Save the changes and exit. This is usually done by pressing F10.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Test the Wi-Fi again.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Perform system reset</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Try performing a system reset, which returns your laptop to factory default conditions. If the problem persists after this point, you'll know it's not due to software.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Not all servers nowadays have DVD player installed. Sometimes it is handy to boot from USB and install for example Windows Server 8. Here’s a example how to make the USB stick bootable for the following OS versions:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">- Windows Server 8</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">- Hyper-V Server 8</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">- Server 2008 R2</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">- Hyper-V Server R2</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Preparation:</b></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b><br /></b></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">- Need 4 GB USB memory stick or more</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">- Download the desired ISO and save it</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Stick the USB stick on a free USB port on your computer equipped with a Windows OS. For this example I used Windows7 as Operating System. Clear the USB stick and create a partition on it by using the following command’s:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Open the command prompt ((make sure you run the cmd prompt as administrator)</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Commands:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<i><span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">diskpart </span></i><br />
<i><span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">list disk "list the disk in your system including the USB"</span></i><br />
<i><span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">select disk "USB number"</span></i><br />
<i><span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">clean</span></i><br />
<i><span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">create partition primary</span></i><br />
<i><span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">active</span></i><br />
<i><span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">format fs=fat32 quick</span></i><br />
<i><span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">assign</span></i><br />
<i><span style="font-family: Courier New, Courier, monospace;">exit</span></i><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Mount the ISO and copy all the content of the desired ISO to USB stick. For mounting the ISO I used “Deamon Tools Lite”.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Now the bootable stick is ready for use. Boot your server with the stick and your able to install Windows 8, Windows 8 Server, 2008 R2 or Hyper-V server 8.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">If you forgot your iPhone passcode you can bypass the lock screen completely and reset the passcode by using iPhone recovery mode. This will get around a locked down iOS device that is stuck on the password screen, but there are some important considerations to take before proceeding.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Warning:</b> This will require you to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. That means you will lose all data on the device and be back to factory settings as if the device was brand new. This should be considered a last resort.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Requirements:</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">iPhone, iPad, or <a href="http://itprofessionalsguide.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">iPod</a> touch that is stuck on the passcode screen</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">USB cable to connect the device to a computer</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Mac or Windows PC</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">iTunes</span></li>
</ul>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Those are the core requirements, if you have those you can proceed to reset the missing passcode.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Bypass & Reset the iPhone Passcode</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b><br /></b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">As mentioned above, this also will work on other iOS devices.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, leave the other end connected to your Mac/PC</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Launch iTunes</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Press and hold the Home and Power button on the top of the iPhone to turn off the device</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Press and continue to hold the Home button while you reconnect the USB cable to your iPhone, this will cause the iPhone to turn on</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Continue to hold the Home button until an alert message in iTunes appears that an iPhone in recovery mode has been detected</span></li>
</ul>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is the general message you will see:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEho7LZoRObM1l4U15b7ZCRXkMrBSdNe7HpngVSbWy3M74cufWj6PGR6vnQtIjI1yOQEG6l8Hl-i4UHXpkM8iUBLrzHrNJ_9J0KIsfcs8BG0rEAVz0F5tWjQUP51kDcjaMlFBWO2TChTGNYJ/s1600/ht1808_02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEho7LZoRObM1l4U15b7ZCRXkMrBSdNe7HpngVSbWy3M74cufWj6PGR6vnQtIjI1yOQEG6l8Hl-i4UHXpkM8iUBLrzHrNJ_9J0KIsfcs8BG0rEAVz0F5tWjQUP51kDcjaMlFBWO2TChTGNYJ/s1600/ht1808_02.jpg" height="123" width="400" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Now that the iPhone is in recovery mode and has been detected by iTunes, you must restore the device:</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">From iTunes, look under the “Summary” tab</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Click on the “Restore” button within iTunes</span></li>
</ul>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This will wipe all files, settings, and apps from the iPhone, including the passcode. When the restore is finished, the iPhone will be at the factory settings. At this point you can choose to start from scratch or to restore the iPhone from a backup that is either stored on the computer with iTunes, or by using an Apple ID and restoring from an iCloud backup. Both of those are very simple processes and you will have the option to do so once the device has been rebooted and is back at factory settings, where the initial setup screens will greet you.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This tip came from an iPhone repair shop, where it’s common for people to bring in a phone for fixing and then forget to provide the passcode.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is another reader provided alternate approach to initiate the recovery process, it’s similar but requires the device to be turned off first. If for some reason you are having problems with the repair shop method above you can try this instead:</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Turn the <a href="http://itprofessionalsguide.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">iPhone</a> OFF by pressing and holding the Power button until the device powers off</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Attach the USB cable to the computer and launch iTunes – do not connect the iPhone yet</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Hold down the Home button, and while continuing to hold it connect the iPhone to the computer via USB</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">While continuing to hold the Home button, the iPhone screen will turn on and show an iTunes logo and a USB cable</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">When an alert box opens in iTunes indicating that a device has been detected in Restore mode, now let go of the Home button</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Click the “Restore” button in iTunes – if a local firmware file is found it will restore immediately, otherwise it will download the appropriate firmware from Apple’s servers</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Now just wait until Restore is completed, the device will boot as if it was brand new</span></li>
</ul>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Once the phone has booted, you can either use it as brand new or initiate a recovery from a backup. A backup is necessary if you wish to restore personalization data like Contacts, apps, SMS, photos, and phone numbers. <a href="http://itprofessionalsguide.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">iCloud</a> will do that for you so long as the device was routinely backed up to iCloud and that the same Apple ID is used during the setup, but a backup stored in iTunes will also work. If you are only looking to restore apps and not personal data, simply use the same Apple ID and then launch the App Store to download the apps again to that device.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Some users have reported issues with slow speeds or trouble connecting to Wi-Fi networks with iPhone OS 3.0 and later firmware. iPhone owners who have jailbroken and/or unlocked their iPhones using blackra1n and blacksn0w have also reported problems.<br /><br />These problems include the inability to connect to Wi-Fi, 3G and/or Edge, lack of push notifications and issues with the YouTube application. Fortunately there are several fixes you can try to correct these data issues on your iPhone:<br /><br />* Reset network settings. Touch Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings.<br /><br />* Still having problems? Touch Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset All Settings. Warning: You will loose all of your preferences.<br /><br />* For YouTube problems on jailbroken iPhones try installing youtubeFix from Cydia or another package installer.<br /><br />* Restore your iPhone as a new phone. This is a slow and tedious process but will reset your <a href="http://itprofessionalsguide.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">iPhone</a> as if it was new from the factory. Although this should fix all of the above issues, you will have to reload your contacts and media onto the iPhone from the computer manually. To restore:<br /><br />- Connect your iPhone to the computer.<br />- Run iTunes.<br />- Under the Summary tab select Restore.<br />- Select backup if you wish. When restoring as a new iPhone you will not use the backup.<br />- When the process is complete the iPhone will restart.<br />- When the Set Up You iPhone screen appears select Set up as a new iPhone.<br /><br />Of course, after restoring a jailbroken iPhone you will lose the jailbreak and unlock functionality.<br /><br /><b>Iphone 5 update:</b> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">There are limited circumstances where iPhone 5 users are experiencing slow speeds or intermittent service when connected to <a href="http://itprofessionalsguide.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Wi-Fi</a>. There are two fixes that might help.<br /><br />* Entering manual DNS settings has been reported to help. Navigate to Settings -> Wi-Fi and touch the blue arrow next to your connected Wi-Fi network. Touch DNS and enter Google's DNS server address (either 8.8.4.4 or 8.8.8.8).<br /> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"> Router compatibility issues could mean that WPA2 Personal W-Fi security is causing the problem. Switching to WEP security or removing password security altogether can improve Wi-Fi speeds and connectivity.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">All networks, whether wired or wireless, have some kind of topology, defined as the network's shape or structure. A wired network's topology is physical and conforms to the layout of cabling in the network. Wireless network topology, on the other hand, is a logical topology conforming to the way the member computers connect and interact with each other, as there is no cable connecting the computers.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b><a href="http://itprofessionalsguide.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Wireless</a> Network Topologies.</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">In a wireless network, all participating computers potentially communicate with each other directly. Wireless networks therefore have only two topologies: infrastructure and ad hoc. This is a direct and natural result of the non-physical nature of interaction of computers in a wireless network.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Infrastructure Network Topology</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The infrastructure wireless network topology is a hub and spoke topology, also known as a point to multipoint or one to many topology. In the infrastructure topology, there is a single central wireless access point (WAP). The WAP acts as the hub in the network, with all the other computers (or spokes) connecting to it.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Ad Hoc Network <a href="http://itprofessionalsguide.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Topology</a></b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">An ad hoc wireless network topology is a many to many (or multipoint to multipoint) topology. There is no central access point in an ad hoc network structure; every computer in the network communicates directly with every other computer in the network. Ad hoc wireless network topologies are essentially mesh networks.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Advantages and Disadvantages of Wireless <a href="http://itprofessionalsguide.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Network </a>Topologies</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The ad hoc topology has the advantage of not requiring a central access point or WAP. However, this also means that only a few security modes and much lower network speeds are available on such networks. Typically, only wired equivalent privacy (WEP) and a maximum speed of 11 megabits per second are implemented on ad hoc networks. Infrastructure networks, on the other hand, require the extra equipment of a central WAP. However, this brings the advantage of higher speeds and stronger security to such networks.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Wireless networks fall into only two types of network topologies: infrastructure and ad hoc. Each of these typologies has its own advantages and disadvantages and is suitable for different usage situations. The infrastructure topology is typically used for permanent networks, while the ad hoc topology is used for temporary networks.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Reposition your router or access point (AP) to avoid obstructions and radio interference. Both reduce the range of Wi-Fi network equipment. Common sources of interference in residences include brick or plaster walls, microwave ovens, and cordless phones. Additionally, consider changing the Wi-Fi channel number on your equipment to avoid interference.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">upgrade the antenna on your router or access point. Wi-Fi antennas on most wireless base stations can be removed and replaced with more powerful ones.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">add another access point (or router). Large residences typically require no more than two APs, whereas businesses may employ dozens of APs. In a home, this option requires connecting your primary <a href="http://itprofessionalsguide.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">wireless router</a> (access point) to the second one with Ethernet cable; home wireless routers and/or APs don't normally communicate with each other directly.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">add a bi-directional Wi-Fi signal amplifier to wireless devices as needed. A Wi-Fi signal amplifier (sometimes called "signal booster") attaches to a router, access point or Wi-Fi client at the place where the antenna connects. Bi-directional antennas amplify the wireless signal in both transmit and receive directions. These should be used as <a href="http://itprofessionalsguide.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Wi-Fi</a> transmissions are two-way radio communications.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">add a Wi-Fi repeater. A <a href="http://itprofessionalsguide.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">wireless</a> repeater is a stand-alone unit positioned within range of a wireless router or access point. Repeaters (sometimes called "range expanders") serve as a two-way relay station for Wi-Fi signals. Clients too far away from the original router or AP can instead associate with the same local wireless network through the repeater.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">In general, the process of installing a WiFi device to use with your laptop begins by connecting the router to the same computer that is attached to your broadband modem (in this example, your laptop); this allows automated configuration software to obtain the information it needs without any intermediary devices along the way.<br /><br />Here is a typical setup:<br /><br />- Turn off the power to your broadband modem.<br /><br />- If there isn’t an on/off switch, remove the power supply to the device.<br /><br />- Connect the power adapter to the back panel of the wireless router.<br /><br />- Plug the adapter into an AC outlet.<br /><br />- Check that the power LED illuminates.<br /><br />- Connect an Ethernet cable to the broadband modem.<br /><br />- Restore the power to the modem.<br /><br />- Insert the other end of the Ethernet cable into the WAN (wide area network) port on the back panel of the wireless router.<br /><br />- Insert another Ethernet cable between LAN Port 1 (on the back panel of the wireless router) and any available Ethernet port on the NIC (network interface card) of the laptop, which you’re going to use to configure the WiFi system.<br /><br />- Shut down the laptop.<br /><br />- Restart the laptop connected to the <a href="http://itprofessionalsguide.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">WiFi</a> router.<br /><br />- Let Windows fully load.<br /><br />- Open your Web browser.<br /><br />- In the address bar of the browser, type the URL for the built-in setup screen of the <a href="http://itprofessionalsguide.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">wireless</a> router.<br /><br />- For example, type http://192.168.0.1 for most <a href="http://itprofessionalsguide.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">D-Link</a> routers.<br /><br />- Press the Enter key.<br /><br /> The below table shows a list of the standard addresses for setup screens as well as default usernames and passwords from several major makers.</span><br />

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Internet server (web server) - this is a special computer, which is constantly switched on and connected to the Internet so that each Internet user around the world can access your website at all times. This computer is built up with selected high quality components, which can endure incessant work and high load.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Depending on the expected load and the type of services, which this computer will provide, different configurations can be set up. As far as database hosting is concerned, for example, a multiprocessor solution combined with small-sized but very fast and stable hard disks would do just great, whereas a single processor configuration with many large size hard disks would be apt with file/image hosting. To ensure better Internet connectivity, the given server is stored in a data center, where it is mounted into a special rack, which offers good ventilation and easy maintenance.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Putting the machine itself in a data center and connecting it to the Internet do not automatically make it an "Internet server". For this purpose, specific web server software has to be installed on it and configured according to the given platform. Among the most popular web server packages are: Apache Server, Microsoft ISS, Google GWS, lighttpd, nginx. After the installation and configuration of the web server software, FTP, E-mail, DNS, database, etc. software packages can be added as well.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Depending on the manner the given sever is organized and the services it's offering, it can be a separate independent system or a part of a hosting platform</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Check Points:</b></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">- Allocate more than 1 GB of Ram to Windows 8.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">- Windows 8 working in VirtualBox is not proof that it is compatible with your computer.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">- Make sue you are running the latest version of <a href="http://itprofessionalsguide.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">VirtualBox</a>.</span></div>

<h2 style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Making a Bootable USB with Windows 7 </span></h2>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Tonight I had a DVD with Windows 7 that used to work, but it wasn’t anymore. So I pulled out my trusty USB stick with a bootable copy of Windows 7 on it … alas that drive had gone through the wash a while back and finally kicked the bucket. I was determined not to strike out 3 times, so I decided to make a new USB bootable device. The steps are pretty easy to create a USB stick that boot up the Windows 7 setup from an ISO image, so I figured I would share the love.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> - Grab a a Windows 7 ISO image and extract it to a folder (not on the USB stick)</span></div>
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><div style="text-align: justify;">
- You can use a lot of programs, many of them free, to extract from an ISO. I use 7zip.</div>
</span><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><div style="text-align: justify;">
- Grab a 4GB USB stick</div>
</span><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><div style="text-align: justify;">
- Format the USB stick with NTFS using the “quick format”. (You can do this via Windows Explorer)</div>
</span><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><div style="text-align: justify;">
- Open a CMD prompt (run it as administrator)</div>
</span><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><div style="text-align: justify;">
- Run DISKPART</div>
</span><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><div style="text-align: justify;">
- Select the volume for the USB stick. First enter LIST VOL to show the list.</div>
</span><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><div style="text-align: justify;">
- Then enter SELECT VOL x where x is the volume number from the list</div>
</span><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><div style="text-align: justify;">
- Mark the volume as active by entering ACTIVE </div>
</span><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><div style="text-align: justify;">
- Enter EXIT to quit the DISKPART command line (but do not close the CMD prompt window)</div>
</span><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><div style="text-align: justify;">
- In the CMD prompt window, go to the location where you extracted the Windows 7 files on your computer</div>
</span><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><div style="text-align: justify;">
- Go into the BOOT folder</div>
</span><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><div style="text-align: justify;">
- Type BOOTSECT /NT60 <drive letter>: where the drive letter is the USB drive.</div>
</span><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><div style="text-align: justify;">
- Example BOOTSECT /NT60 G:</div>
</span><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><div style="text-align: justify;">
- Copy all of the files you extracted for Windows 7 to the USB stick</div>
</span><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> - On the computer you want to install Windows 7, go to your BIOS and make sure that boot from USB is enabled and in the correct position in the boot sequence.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Once all files are copied to the USB stick, you can plug the USB stick into a computer and boot from it to run Windows 7 setup.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Hope this helps!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<b style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Step 1</b><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">: Locate and run the built-in Boot Camp Assistant package that comes as part of OS X. Boot Camp Assistant can be invoked a number of different ways. Select Spotlight from the Finder bar at the top of the display and search for Boot Camp before selecting the required app. Alternatively, users can enter the Launchpad screen and search for Boot Camp Assistant manually that way.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span>

<br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Step 2:</b> The Boot Camp Assistant interface provides the necessary steps that are involved in installing a fully functioning version of Windows 7 on the MacBook. Make sure all the relevant option boxes are ticked before selecting the Continue option on the bottom right of the display.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0J95-LMSCbzw_Ph2zbWyCKUIWdWAPEHhEkvp_7ff1Z6SuYkjR_urtSc9gfbOTcos1nmG1v22ioT-Ye-kVS9dLDjpjegG7-9AtCY78Za4H8FmozZQJWzCHL83DaB3uxZpOs19ZqQmXfe0f/s1600/Windows7Step2.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0J95-LMSCbzw_Ph2zbWyCKUIWdWAPEHhEkvp_7ff1Z6SuYkjR_urtSc9gfbOTcos1nmG1v22ioT-Ye-kVS9dLDjpjegG7-9AtCY78Za4H8FmozZQJWzCHL83DaB3uxZpOs19ZqQmXfe0f/s320/Windows7Step2.png" height="224" width="320" /></a></span></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Step 3:</b> The next stage of the process is to create a Windows ISO image of the installation DVD. An optical drive is a requirement for this process meaning that an external drive will need to be connected to the MacBook Pro. The simple Disk Utility application in Mac OS X allows a new disk image to be created from the inserted Windows DVD.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">NOTE: If you don’t have access to an external drive that can be connected to the MacBook Pro, then it is possible to create an ISO disk image using one of many free of charge utilities directly from a Windows based PC. That ISO can then be moved across to the Retina MacBook Pro for use as part of this process.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Step 4:</b> If you are creating the ISO image directly on the Mac using the Disk Utility process then the outputted file will need to be saved as .cdr file and then manually renamed to the extension .iso.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Step 5:</b> After the ISO image has been created and manually renamed, the next stage is to copy the file onto a USB drive that is greater than 4GB in size. In the Boot Camp Manager interface, select the option to copy the file to the USB drive to create a bootable disk.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Step 6:</b> Anyone who has installed Windows, or even used Windows, will know that a number of drivers are required to make sure all of the hardware is functioning correctly. This is particularly relevant in this instance to ensure that the full resolution of the Retina MacBook Pro is achieved in the installation. Download all of the drivers that Apple provide via the Boot Camp Manager and copy the single file to a secondary USB drive (at least 1GB needed).</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjKHDPJPKEAqs-zDz2mWBn5wsy_6Tb6yr9KJOeH4nMQXp1hgnfwpafYZwAbPVIz495CmjighwjGl1BPCyR3TuroNfq9uPAvjKAJWQtqq2dC7kW-UwxgSNqjxgG4QJUbaP6_G3Co4OhmiYY/s1600/Windows7Step6.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjKHDPJPKEAqs-zDz2mWBn5wsy_6Tb6yr9KJOeH4nMQXp1hgnfwpafYZwAbPVIz495CmjighwjGl1BPCyR3TuroNfq9uPAvjKAJWQtqq2dC7kW-UwxgSNqjxgG4QJUbaP6_G3Co4OhmiYY/s320/Windows7Step6.png" height="224" width="320" /></a></span></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Step 7:</b> The installation of Windows 7 doesn’t place nice with competing operating systems, making it necessary to create a partition on the hard drive of the MacBook Pro. The Boot Camp Assistant will display the partition information and you will need to assign a portion of the drive to Windows. Bear in mind that the installation itself will require approximately 30GB so choose carefully as this cannot be altered later.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjq0nHPzzb7l1VKGrNiiRFDnVo2Q68HNR13VtqjLCqdJN6LGmzyXrcZncY8EfMPIzYGTkON5j4TvpHmGLfiLrcqd7UEKuychb9xwRp6riQuH_Gf64jYIqW3xznKO6_G4QVhqu1AutBxWBPX/s1600/windows7Step7.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjq0nHPzzb7l1VKGrNiiRFDnVo2Q68HNR13VtqjLCqdJN6LGmzyXrcZncY8EfMPIzYGTkON5j4TvpHmGLfiLrcqd7UEKuychb9xwRp6riQuH_Gf64jYIqW3xznKO6_G4QVhqu1AutBxWBPX/s320/windows7Step7.png" height="224" width="320" /></a></span></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Step 8:</b> Insert the original USB pen drive into the Mac with the bootable ISO image on it. The system will reboot after the partition step above, forcing the Windows 7 installation to begin. When asked where to install Windows 7, select the partition that was created in step 7 above. Select Drive Options before selecting Format and follow the on screen instructions.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Step 9:</b> The final step in the process is to insert the secondary USB pen and install the drivers that Apple provides to make sure everything works correctly with the Windows 7 installation. Open the USB drive and run the installer that is on the drive. When the drivers are installed the system will restart, prompting the end of the process.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So there we have it, a full installation of Windows 7 on a Retina MacBook Pro. Deciding which operating system to boot into is as simple as holding down the Option button when the MacBook is booting up and selecting either Windows or OS X.</span><br />

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
<h2 style="text-align: left;">
<br /></h2>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">To make a universal ghost image actually is very easy, we only need two major applications namely SPAT (System Preparation Tool Assisted) and Skydriver or easy driver of sky123.org SPAT will make certain configured Windows and make skydriver or Easydriver as a detector of the necessary drivers and install them automatically when you first boot from the ghost-ghost's (and Windows parent was exposed to the same fate, so that all the drivers are already installed will be automatically deleted and removed by SPAT). So after the trial was when the restart Windows will be like ghost-ghost's, will conduct a mini setup the driver has been removed. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Steps: </b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>1.</b> Install (configure) Windows XP you as possible and as completely as possible as you wish. And remove useless files. To install applications or drivers are not a problem yet. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>2.</b> Download two apps in question. SPAT download <a href="http://gostep.info/spat-6-0-beta.html" target="_blank">here</a>, and Easydriver <a href="http://gostep.info/s...uto-driver.html" target="_blank">here</a>. or here for windows 7 </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>3.</b> Extracts may SPAT anywhere, but to Easydriver should be in C: \ Sysprep, create a folder "Sysprep" on the C: \ folder or just rename the extracted easydrivernya "Sysprep". </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>4.</b> Prepare the setup background image that will appear when the first ghost image bootable and perform the installation sysprep mini. For example setup.jpg (can 800 × 600 or 1024 × 768 24-bit format jpg). Put the pictures in the folder C: \ Sysprep (if you want to change the image, if not does not matter) </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>5.</b> Run SPAT *. EXE. We headed to the menu tab "General" and choose "select all". Click on "Background picture" and select setup.jpg that had been prepared (C: \ Sysprep \ setup.jpg). </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>6.</b> Go to the tab "Interface" and select "Run before mini-setup" and make sure you add the C: \ Sysprep \ Easydrv.exe (setup .... or any similar name of Skydriver or easydriver). </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>7.</b> Go to the tab "Reseal" and select / tick the things that you like. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>8.</b> Back to the "General" tab and click "sysprep". </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>9.</b> Sysprep will work 2-5 minutes, allow it to stop on its own and lost his own window. Once done wait approximately 1 minute, then your Windows Shutdownlah. Prepare boot from CD or USB that is Norton Ghost or other cloning applications (eg Hiren'sboot cd or True Image). </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>10.</b> At that time the position of drive C: \ ready in cloning and save the results on another drive. Her ghost image can be used as master windows all pc and laptop / netboot that supports Windows. now the next step is to make Image with Norton Ghost </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Many differences between Windows xp with previous windows like in Windows Me, 98, or 95, in the image-making in the form of CDs / HD, where we install Windows XP on a hard drive, so it can not be used in other different motherboard . Will display blue screen, or the system is not loading at all and get to know other chip on the MB. But the way there is a simple way to solve it, a Windows XP hard drive can be used on different motherboards, even we can create image files using Norton Ghost. That in the end, they will image file can be used for another MB, to jamming ghost HD from Image / hard drive to hard drive, or other on a PC or laptop. to note are: </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">- Biasany motherboard which we use to make a ghost file TSB supports ACPI. We can see in the motherboard bios. If it disable ACPI, we must re-enable it once before work begins. - Enable ACPI in the bios it. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">- Install Windows Xp along with other programs as possible and as needed. - Driver's okay installed as well. - Make it as good as possible its Windows Xp and stability. - Do not forget didefrag to further spruce up the file structure on the hard disk. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The next step Replace the IDE type: </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">- Right Click My Computer Icon on the desktop </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">- Click Properties, hardware, device manager </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">- In the Computer tab, update the driver manually, and change it to the Advanced Configuration<br /> Power Interface (ACPI) PC. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">- On the Tab IDE ATA / ATAPI Controllers, Update drivers manually, and change it to standard<br /> items (his 3rd) </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">- Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">- Standard IDE / ESDI Hard Disk Controller </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">- Standard IDE / ESDI Hard Disk Controller </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">- Restart your computer. - After getting into windows again, trim back its Windows Xp. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">- Then Shutdown. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">At this position, the hard drive they will be used in all areas ACPI motherboard. workmanship image above example as follows, do the remaining 2 the next step in the same way: OR TO SUCH OTHER THAN THE ABOVE, YOU USE THE COMPUTER CHIP NVIDIA, VGA NVIDIA, NVIDIA CHIP BECAUSE USUALLY DIRECTLY WITH DUAL CHANNEL NGENAL MAKE FILE IMAGE (GHO) NORTON GHOST. Suggested using Norton Ghost 2007. This meant that the image file that we created, can be used to jamming and jamming SATA HDD ghost-ghost via USB If the SATA HDD for Laptop dighost TSB, then disable feature is SATA (and / or related) on the laptop bios page. If not disable it, Windows Xp will repeatedly restart (failed to get into windows) Image files that we make, not the mainboard that does not support ACPI air We can use Norton Ghost 2007 on Hiren's BootCD. Either to make its image file (gho) and for jamming another hdd ghost. To be able to use Norton Ghost, it's easy. Just follow the steps there. I have this image file on the motherboard assembly test and build up, intel and AMD processors, the PC or laptop. If we want to create a file image (gho) who can work on the mainboard that do not Air ACPI then we have: </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">- Disable all components (LPT, USB, Sound, etc.), except the IDE, VGA, keyboard and mouse. Disable this we do before we start the work of installation of Windows XP. - In Device Manager, Computer Tab, must tersetting Standard PC - On the Tab IDE ATA / ATAPI Controllers, same as above. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">- And do Scan for hardware changes. To insert his driver NT power management. So that the windows can power off on shutdown. If this is not done, then at the time of shutdown, the CPU does not power off. </span></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The need to install Windows 8 from a USB device, like a flash drive, is a common one due to the fact that many computers, especially tablets and smaller laptops and desktops, no longer have optical drives.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">In other words, that Windows 8 install disc doesn't do you much good if you don't have anywhere to put the DVD! If you want to install Windows 8 from a USB device, you'll need to get those setup files onto a USB device. Unfortunately, simply copying them there won't do.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Windows 8 is also sold as a downloadable ISO file which, if you choose to buy Windows 8 that way, requires some steps to get it properly copied to a flash drive as well.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Regardless of whether you have a Windows 8 DVD you need to get on a flash drive, or a Windows 8 ISO file with the same goal, the following tutorial will help you get the Windows 8 installation files properly copied to a flash drive so you can get on with the installation process.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Note:</b> The following procedure applies equally to Windows 8 (standard) or Windows 8 Pro, as well as those editions of Windows 8.1.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Difficulty:</b> Average</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Time Required: Getting the Windows 8 installation files onto a flash drive or other external USB device will take between 20 and 30 minutes, depending on what format your copy of Windows 8 is in right now and how fast your computer is.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Requirements:</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">A flash drive (4 GB or more)</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">A Windows 8 DVD or ISO </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Access to a working computer, with a DVD drive if you have a Windows 8 DVD, with Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP installed</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Important:</b> If you have a Windows 8 ISO file and want that on a flash drive, start with Step 2. If you have a Windows 8 DVD and need that on the flash drive, start with Step 1.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<h2 style="text-align: left;">
<br /></h2>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Various influential people have contributed to the development of computer technology over many decades. In the field of computer networking, certain events have proven to be especially notable.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>1. Invention of the Telephone (and the Dial-Up Modem)</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Without the availability of voice telephone service invented in the 1800s, the first waves of people flocking to the Internet would not have been able to get online from the comfort of their homes. Interfacing a digital computer to an analog phone line to enable transmitting data over this network required a special piece of hardware called the dial-up <a href="http://itprofessionalsguide.blogspot.com/p/modem.html" target="_blank">modem</a>. These modems existed since the 1960s, the first ones supporting an incredibly low data rate of 300 bits (0.3 kilobits or 0.0003 megabits) per second (bps) and only slowly improving over the years. Early Internet users commonly ran over 9,600 or 14,400 bps links. The well-known "56K" (56,000 bps) modem, the fastest possible given the limitations of this type of transmission media, wasn't invented until 1996.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>2. Rise of CompuServe</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">CompuServe Information Systems created the first online community of consumers, long before well-known Internet service providers such as America Online (AOL) came into existence. CompuServe developed an online newspaper publishing system, selling subscriptions starting in July 1980, accessed by consumers using their low-speed modems to connect. The company continued to grow throughout the 1980s and into the 1990s, expanding to add public discussion forums and accumulating more than one million customers. AOL bought CompuServe in 1997.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>3. Creation of the <a href="http://itprofessionalsguide.blogspot.com/p/modem.html" target="_blank">Internet</a></b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Efforts by Tim Berners-Lee and others to create the World Wide Web (WWW) starting in the 1980s are well-known, but the WWW would not have been possible without the underlying foundation of the Internet network. Among the key people who contributed to the creation of the Internet were Ray Tomlinson (developer of the first email system), Robert Metcalfe and David Boggs (inventors of Ethernet), plus Vinton Cerf and Robert Kahn (creators of the technology behind <a href="http://itprofessionalsguide.blogspot.com/p/modem.html" target="_blank">TCP/IP</a>.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>4. Birth of <a href="http://itprofessionalsguide.blogspot.com/p/p2p-file-sharing.html" target="_blank">P2P File Sharing</a></b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">On 1 June 1999, the original Napster online file sharing service was released on the Internet. Napster was the leader in the first wave of new peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing systems, turning P2P into a worldwide movement that generated billions of file downloads and legal actions costing millions. The original service was shut down after a few years, but later generations of more advanced P2P systems like BitTorrent continue to operate on both the Internet and for applications on private networks.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>5. Cisco Becomes the World's Most Valuable Company</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">On 27 March 2000, <a href="http://itprofessionalsguide.blogspot.com/p/cisco-systems.html" target="_blank">Cisco Systems</a>, the network hardware manufacturer best known at the time for its high-end network router products, became the world's most valuable company based on its stock market valuation. It's reign at the top didn't last long, but for that brief period during the dot-com boom, Cisco represented an explosive level of growth and interest that businesses all across the field of <a href="http://www.thecallexperts.com/" target="_blank">computer networking</a> enjoyed at the time.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>6. First Home <a href="http://itprofessionalsguide.blogspot.com/p/modem.html" target="_blank">Network Routers</a></b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The concept of computer network routers dates back to the 1970s and earlier, but the proliferation of home network router products for consumers began in the year 2000 with companies like Linksys (later acquired by Cisco Systems but an independent company at that time) releasing the first models. These early home routers utilized wired Ethernet as the primary network interface. However, even in early 2001, the first 802.11b wireless routers like the SMC7004AWBR appeared on the market, starting the expansion of Wi-Fi technology into networks worldwide.</span><br />

<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The word topology means ‘arrangement’, so when we talk about the topology of a network, we mean how the different parts are arranged and connected together.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">There are three common network topologies...</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Bus Network</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">In this type of network, a long, central cable, the ‘bus’ is used to connect all of the computers together. Each computer has a short cable linking it to the ‘bus’.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>

<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">A bus network…</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<ul style="text-align: left;">
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Is cheap to install (just one long cable)</span></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Can be quite slow since all computers share the same cable when communicating</span></li>

<br /></div>
<ul style="text-align: left;">

<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">At the centre of a star network you might use a hub (cheap, but slower) or a switch (more expensive, but faster).</span></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">A star network… </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<ul style="text-align: left;">
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Is quite expensive to install (you have to buy lots of cable and the central device)</span></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Is very fast since each computer has its own cable which it doesn’t need to share</span></li>

<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Is the most common network topology</span></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Most of the <a href="http://www.thecallexperts.com/" target="_blank">call centers</a> use this network.</span></li>

<h2 style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></h2>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Wifi is a wireless broadband connection that allows you to connect to the internet without using any cables. It’s particularly popular for use with laptops because they can then be used in any room of the house. Wifi is also available in lots of public places, such as pubs, cafés, hotels and even some buses!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This guide will help you to understand how to connect your computer to wifi. It’s based on Windows 7, but the procedure is very similar in other versions of Windows and in Mac OS X. You’ll find a useful guide to connecting other operating systems to wifi on the <a href="http://www.thecallexperts.com/" target="_blank">Call Experts</a> website.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>What you’ll need</b>:</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">A Wireless Router</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">A computer with a built-in Wireless Adaptor or a separate adaptor.</span></li>
</ul>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>Follow these step-by-step instructions to connect to wifi</b></span></div>

Most internet providers now supply wireless routers as standard. When setting up one, it’s important to provide appropriate security so that your computer can’t be entered by anyone but you. Instructions for this should be supplied with the router, but if in doubt, consult an expert.</span></div>

The dialer automatically calls a list of telephone numbers, screens the unnecessary calls such as answering machines and busy signals, and then connects a waiting representative with the customer.<br /><br /><br /><b>VOIP Predictive Dialer</b><br /><br />A VOIP predictive dialer, is a software product capable of predictive dialing using VOIP service directly. Basically, the VOIP predictive dialer is configured as a set of soft phones of a VOIP service. The best examples of such a product are from 3CLogic and Voicent Agent Dialer, a VOIP based Predictive dialer.<br /><br />When using a VOIP predictive dialer, calls are made through a VOIP service over the internet. There is no need for any additional hardware, such as a PBX system. However, it is also possible to use a VOIP predictive dialer with a PBX system, such as Asterisk, as long as the PBX system is SIP compatible.<br /><br /><b>Software Only Predictive Dialer</b><br /><br />New predictive dialing technology, together with faster computers and bigger broadband bandwidth, enables software only predictive dialers to work as good as or even better than hardware based dialers. Software based solution avoids expensive telephony board and associated hardware maintenance cost. It is easy to install and configure. For example, it is very easy to setup remote agent (at home agent).<br /><br />SOFTWARE ONLY PREDICTIVE DIALER<br /><br /> Predictive Dialer Solutions from <a href="http://www.thecallexperts.com/" target="_blank">The Call Experts</a>, Predictive Dialer and Web CRM Solution, Provider With Operations in India, Europe, United State, United KIngdom, Singapore, Middle East.</span></div>

<br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">As part of the Adaptive Contact suite of applications, the <a href="http://www.thecallexperts.com/" target="_blank">Adaptive Predictive Dialer</a> drives the productivity of people who make calls to consumers. Callers using this application typically talk to more people each day and are therefore more productive. <br /><br />Predictive Dialing is best suited for calling consumers, where only a percentage of people called will answer the phone. With Predictive Dialing, the call is dialed by the computer or phone system, and once answered, is transferred to the user. To be most effective, full Predictive Dialing usually requires a team of at least ten callers or agents and the calls must be of a reasonably predictable duration.<br /><br />The Adaptive Predictive Dialer includes a proprietary method of dialing, called Overdial, that is designed for use by teams of as few as three callers, or for situations in which the type of calls being made do not have easily predictable call duration.<br /><br />The Adaptive Predictive Dialer can easily be integrated with other applications via “txt” files or SQL, and the application also supports screen-popping. <br /><br />The Adaptive Predictive Dialer provides management control enabling managers to decide who will be called, in what order and when. <br /><br />Comprehensive management reporting also allows managers to make decisions on how to organize the team in the most effective way. A wide variety of real-time and historical reports are included. Real-time reports show the current activity of the callers/agents and the status of queues while historical reports include extension, caller/agent, team, campaign and dialer activity.The Adaptive Predictive Dialer includes an SQL Export facility, so that all data can be automatically exported to a reporting tool of your choice.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><b>The Adaptive Predictive Dialer includes the following benefits:</b></span></span></div>
<ul style="text-align: justify;">
<li> <span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Unique algorithms enable predictive dialing using smaller teams or for non-uniform <br /> calls</span></span></li>
